About this volcanic site
Siete Lomas is a protected landscape across Güímar, Candelaria and Arafo where volcanic terrain and agriculture are closely intertwined. Lava from the Arafo volcanic system helped shape the landforms visible today.
Ridges and ravines divide cultivated areas and support threatened native plants in rocky habitats. The result is a landscape where human use and recent volcanic geology remain visible together.
