Las Narices del Teide Eruption Vents
Historic eruption vents on the flank of Pico Viejo associated with the 1798 eruption, one of Tenerife’s most important documented volcanic events.
Las Narices del Teide are eruption vents on the western flank of the Teide-Pico Viejo complex. They are associated with the 1798 eruption, a long-lived historic event that produced extensive lava flows.
The site helps place Tenerife’s volcanic history in human time: these are not only ancient geological forms but features created during an eruption documented by people living on the island.

The vents are part of a protected national-park landscape. Access may require hiking; stay on authorised routes and do not leave marked trails.
