Complejo Costa Martiánez
Puerto de la Cruz’s celebrated seawater-pool complex, shaped by César Manrique’s artistic vision with a large artificial lake, landscaped pools and volcanic-island design.
- Landscaped seawater-pool complex on the Puerto de la Cruz waterfront
- Designed under the artistic direction of César Manrique
- Large artificial lake plus adult and children’s pools
Complejo Costa Martiánez is one of Puerto de la Cruz’s signature waterfront attractions. The municipal complex transformed a section of coast into a landscaped bathing environment in which pools, volcanic materials, gardens and sculptural elements are integrated into the shoreline.
The project was developed by a technical team led by César Manrique. Its centrepiece is a large artificial seawater lake, complemented by four adult pools and three children’s pools, with bars, restaurants and kiosks around the complex.
