You do not need a ticket every day

South Tenerife can be expensive if every day is built around paid attractions. Some of the best low-cost days are much simpler: walk the coast, choose a beach, explore Adeje’s historic centre or watch sunset from the promenade.

Free here means there is no normal admission charge to the place itself. Food, transport, parking, loungers and optional activities may still cost money.

1. Walk the coast

The promenade linking parts of Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas and Costa Adeje gives you beaches, harbour views, people-watching and sunset without needing a ticket.

2. Choose a public beach

El Camisón, Las Vistas, Troya, La Pinta, Fañabé, El Duque and La Enramada can all anchor a low-cost day. Beach services such as loungers may be paid, but using the beach itself is free.

3. Central Park of Arona

Central Park of Arona offers green space and walking paths close to Playa de las Américas, useful when you want a break from the resort strip.

Explore Central Park of Arona.

4. Adeje Old Town

Walk around Plaza de España, Santa Úrsula Church and the historic streets around Casa Fuerte. Access arrangements for individual interiors can vary, but the old-town walk itself is an easy cultural change from the coast.

Read the Adeje Old Town guide.

5. Sunset on the Golden Mile or coast

El Camisón, the Golden Mile, Fañabé and La Caleta are all good areas for a sunset walk. You do not need to book a beach club to enjoy the evening light.
