Montañés House (Casa Montañés)

Casa Montañés is one of the significant historic residences preserved within La Laguna’s old town. Its proportions and traditional internal organisation reflect the courtyard-house tradition that shaped high-status urban living in the Canary Islands.

Seen together with nearby Casa Salazar, Casa Ossuna and the Captains General House, it helps visitors understand that La Laguna’s heritage lies as much in its domestic architecture as in its churches and public squares.
