TEA Tenerife Arts Space (Tenerife Espacio de las Artes)
Santa Cruz’s major contemporary art centre, combining exhibitions, cinema, libraries and striking modern architecture near the Barranco de Santos.
TEA Tenerife Arts Space is one of the island’s leading contemporary cultural institutions. It brings together temporary exhibitions, the Óscar Domínguez collection, independent cinema, public libraries and study spaces in the centre of Santa Cruz.
The building was designed by Herzog & de Meuron with Canarian architect Virgilio Gutiérrez. Its ramps, sloping floors and interconnected courtyards were conceived so that public space flows through the complex rather than stopping at the entrance.

Exhibition schedules change throughout the year. Check the official programme before visiting; the centre also includes cinema and library spaces with their own opening times.
