About this viewpoint

Aguaide Viewpoint overlooks one of Anaga’s most dramatic coastal sectors. The route from the Chinamada area passes through a landscape of steep ravines, traditional settlements and exposed volcanic ridges.

The viewpoint is especially valuable for understanding how isolated Anaga communities developed on terrain where steep slopes made travel and farming difficult.
