Northern Tenerife
Costa de Acentejo Protected Landscape
A long protected stretch of steep north-coast cliffs extending across six municipalities, with dramatic scenery and protected flora and fauna.
About this viewpoint
The Costa de Acentejo Protected Landscape preserves one of the classic cliff-lined coastlines of northern Tenerife. The protected area stretches across several municipalities from Tacoronte toward La Orotava.
Steep slopes, isolated coves and pockets of native vegetation create a fragmented but highly scenic coastal environment. Different access points reveal very different parts of the same protected landscape.
Visitor information
Access varies by location. Use recognised paths from places such as Mesa del Mar, El Sauzal, Santa Úrsula or El Rincón and avoid unstable cliff edges.
